Collaborative Efforts:
Energy-10 is a home design software developed by the NREL or National Renewable Energy Laboratory. Their Center for Building and Thermal Systems is the department that is at the forefront of this highly publicized initiative. They teamed up with other entities including the Berkley Solar Group, the Lawrence Berkley National Library, and the SBIC or the Sustainable Buildings Industry Council to come up with this groundbreaking software.
The result is a magnificent product that is not only effective in terms of its design capabilities, but also a breath of fresh air in the world of building construction wherein the well-being of nature has seemingly become irrelevant.
